Prior to starting her own law practice, Attorney Stacy Maynor worked, clerked and interned at various law firms, the Wake County District Attorney’s Office, the Durham Public Defender’s Office, and the NCCU Juvenile Law Clinic, where she gained valuable experience in many areas of law. In late 2010, Ms. Maynor began her own law firm, where she devotes herself to assisting clients in immigration and criminal defense matters.  Ms. Maynor’s experience, attention to detail, and dedication to clients have led to successful outcomes for clients seeking quality, professional representation.

Immigration Law

As an immigration attorney, Ms. Maynor represents clients with immigration issues all over the world. She has successfully petitioned and filed waivers for clients in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and other countries to allow travel to the United States to work and/or reside with family. Ms. Maynor has successfully represented clients in Immigration Courts all over the nation, including Charlotte, NC, Lumpkin, GA, Atlanta, GA, Arlington, VA, and Los Angeles, CA, to name a few.  Ms. Maynor has filed many motions to change venue from Immigration Courts in a distant part of the country so that clients could instead appear at the local Immigration Court located in Charlotte, NC. She has also counseled and represented clients at the local USCIS District Offices, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody, and at ICE appointments. Ms. Maynor has also researched, briefed and prepared appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals.

Criminal Defense and Traffic Violation Defense

Ms. Maynor represents clients with criminal charges all over North Carolina at both the State and Federal level. Ms. Maynor represents clients in both District and Superior Court in all criminal matters including speeding tickets, DWI’s, misdemeanors such as domestic violence, and felonies such as Indecent Liberties and Obtaining Property by False Pretenses. Ms. Maynor primarily represents clients in Wake, Durham, Johnston, Robeson, Cumberland, and Hoke counties, however if you have matters outside these counties, she has contacts throughout the state and may assist you in obtaining representation in another county. Ms. Maynor has also successfully represented clients with a range of Federal Charges, including trafficking drugs and firearms charges.
